Job Requirements

  • Must be 16 years of age or older
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 150 pounds
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including mostly evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to follow safety rules and instructions
  • Experience in event setup preferred
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and stand for extended periods
  • Commitment to teamwork and quality service

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 16 years of age or older
  • Experience in events or event set up preferred
  • Experience in customer service or related area preferred
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with various stakeholders
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of computers and office software including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to interact with a broad range of people
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under deadlines
  • Ability to read and interpret documents
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to set up and take down event equipment indoors and outdoors
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Assist in all event set-ups and room restores in the centers including reconfiguring rooms for a variety of classes, workshops, meetings and special events
  • Transport, setup and dismantle types of equipment including tables, chairs, linen, pipe and drape, stanchions, barricades, dance floors and moderate audio/video equipment
  • Maintains restroom facilities before, during and after events by performing cleaning and replenishing supplies
  • Perform miscellaneous duties such as answering phones, collecting fees and helping set up for classes and events
  • Serve as facility staff on duty as scheduled
  • Follow safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
  • Work on special projects and town-wide initiatives as assigned
