Job Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of hotel sales or catering experience
  • Knowledge of sales techniques and yield management
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Strong follow-up and communication skills
  • Ability to comprehend and adhere to instructions
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Effective time management and planning
  • Ability to solve problems and make business decisions
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Ability to hear, speak, read and write English fluently
  • Physical ability to meet clients on and off premises and attend functions
  • Compatible with office environment and outdoor sales calls

Job Duties

  • Execute all aspects of event planning including meetings, reunions, social functions and catering
  • Coordinate business activities from signing group contracts through event execution
  • Target, capture and coordinate catering sales efforts
  • Meet and exceed revenue and productivity goals as established by management
  • Communicate effectively with various departments to ensure client expectations are exceeded
  • Make appointment-oriented sales calls requiring reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Maximize key accounts and develop new business through networking and referrals
