Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience
  • experience in event planning preferably in the wedding market
  • strong organizational skills
  • excellent problem-solving abilities
  • proficiency in MS Office suite
  • knowledge of event planning tools is beneficial
  • ability to handle physical demands of the office environment
  • flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and variable hours
  • commitment to teamwork and positive client interaction
  • legal work authorization

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience preferably in hotel or comparable industry
  • experience with event planning in the wedding market
  • strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • problem-solving skills with professional and collaborative communication abilities
  • proficient with MS Office suite including Excel and Word
  • experience with event planning management tools and software is a plus
  • ability to lift, push, and pull up to 10 to 15 lbs in an office environment

Job Duties

  • Approach work relationships with empathy and contribute to team morale
  • gain insights into guest needs and identify opportunities to meet customer expectations
  • manage event planning and upselling programs in the wedding market and other segments
  • communicate client requirements across hotel departments through detailed event documentation and meetings
  • forecast banquet food and beverage revenues
  • monitor and control event budgets and details to maximize revenues and ensure quality delivery
  • represent the department and hotel at client functions, tours, tastings, and industry events
  • develop and maintain positive vendor and supplier relationships
  • review event billing and post-conference reports with meeting planners
  • promote a service culture that ensures event satisfaction and revenue achievement
  • perform other duties as assigned
