Job Requirements
- minimum 2 years relevant work experience preferably in hotel or comparable industry
- experience with event planning in the wedding market
- strong organizational skills and eye for detail
- skilled at problem solving and able to work professionally with all organizational levels
- demonstrated working skills with MS Office suite
- experience with event planning management tools and software is a plus
- ability to lift, push, pull up to 10 - 15 lbs in an office environment

Job Duties
- approach work relationships with an empathy-forward mindset and contribute to strong team morale
- gain insights into guest needs and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations
- work with clients to plan, upsell, and detail programs including space, times, equipment, menus, themes, and decorations
- communicate client requirements to hotel departments through event resumes, orders, and meetings
- forecast banquet food and beverage revenues
- monitor and control event budgets and details to maximize revenues and minimize expenses
- represent the hotel professionally at client and industry functions, tours, meetings, and tastings
