Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, marketing, business administration or related field preferred
- minimum of 3 years' experience in event planning or hotel event management
- strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- excellent problem-solving capabilities
- availability to work variable hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- proficiency in event management software and MS Office
- ability to handle multiple projects and work under pressure

- Experience in event planning or related hospitality field

- proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
- knowledge of banquet and catering services
- proficiency in budgeting and financial forecasting

Job Duties
- Approach work relationships with an empathy-forward mindset and contribute to strong team morale
- gain insights into guest needs and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations
- plan, upsell and detail programs with clients including verification and modification of space requirements, times, equipment, menus, themes, decorations
- communicate client requirements to all hotel departments through event resumes, event orders, and meetings
- forecast banquet food and beverage revenues
- monitor and control event budgets to maximize revenues and minimize expenses while ensuring quality
- represent the department and hotel professionally at client and industry functions
- develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers
- review billing and post-conference reporting with meeting planners
- provide a service culture that promotes positive event satisfaction and sustained revenue achievement
- perform other duties as assigned
