Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Prepare event documentation and coordinate with group sales and catering sales
  • Ensure seamless turnover from sales to service and back to sales
  • Upsell and offer event enhancements to maximize revenue
  • Plan, organize, and manage in-house details for group and convention bookings including guest rooms, menus, and setup
  • Participate in negotiating meetings for functions, rooms, and rates
  • Manage function details to ensure program requirements are met
  • Act as liaison between hotel and customer throughout all event phases
  • Lead pre-event and post-event meetings
  • Monitor event budgets to maximize revenue and control expenses
  • Coordinate communication with customers verbally and in writing
  • Greet customers during events and hand off to operations team
  • Ensure compliance with hotel standards, policies, and procedures
  • Integrate industry trends into event planning
  • Foster positive work relationships and team collaboration
  • Use technology to communicate and manage event details
  • Participate in daily and weekly operational meetings
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures
  • Facilitate conflict resolution within teams
  • Make timely decisions under pressure
  • Manage accountability and resource allocation for work execution
