Job Requirements
- university degree or diploma in sales, marketing, hospitality, tourism management, or equivalent experience
- minimum 3 years experience in hotel event management or similar role
- experience in a 4-5 star hotel sales environment
- strong emotional intelligence
- ability to create detailed event orders and communicate event needs
- effective teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

- have previous experience in hotel event management or similar
- hold minimum 3 years experience in a 4-5 star hotel sales environment
- understand Miraval clientele variations in group size and intention
- demonstrate excellent emotional intelligence
- effectively function as a team player within sales department and hotel
- adapt easily to changes in policy, procedures, and work environment
- create detailed and complete event orders covering setup, AV, food and beverage, and programming needs
- communicate effectively through group resumes to convey event requirements
- manage event orders, group resumes, and distribution to services teams
- conduct and plan site tours and visits
Job Duties
- serve as primary point of contact for all group business at Miraval and fully coordinate events so that guest experiences are consistent with what has been represented to guests
- generate revenue through educating and selling Miraval Experiences that are engaging and embody core values including meetings, private meals, and programming
- assure that all event services comply with quality standards and applicable regulations
- schedule hotel spaces and create calendars and notices to inform guests, attendees, and hotel staff of group events including programming
- interface daily with clients on property and handle all staff introductions
- stay informed on latest trends for competitor activities and guest demands
- conduct property tours, create catering and sales portfolios, arrange AV and other meeting needs, create collateral and menus, and communicate with team members to ensure proper event execution
- perform tasks and provide services in compliance with policies, procedures, codes of conduct, safety laws, and best practices
- familiarize with all hotel services, local attractions, and activities to respond accurately to guest inquiries
- demonstrate a positive attitude and acknowledge guests in a welcoming manner
- ensure confidential and financial data is maintained securely
- participate in training opportunities and apply new practices
- suggest improvements for guest service delivery and identify business opportunities
- support team by anticipating needs
- respond positively to complaints and take actions to resolve
- assure guests have quality experience
- manage rooming lists, cut off dates, and attrition calculations with sales coordinator
- manage final group billing, deposits, payments including World of Hyatt points and commissions
- prioritize and follow through on all job duties
- accurately process banquet charges for accounting
- assist sales team with sales trips or FAMS coordination
- source vendors for meeting services not in inventory with proper upcharge
- conduct follow up post events
