Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 to 3 years catering and rooms experience in the hospitality industry
  • Proven ability to provide quality service consistently
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to manage complex event details and budgets
  • Previous leadership experience preferred

Job Qualifications

  • 2 to 3 years of catering and rooms experience in the hospitality industry
  • Proven track record in providing consistent quality service
  • Experience in negotiating event details and managing budgets
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer liaison
  • Ability to lead pre-event and post-event meetings and coordinate cross-departmental collaboration
  • Knowledge of current trends in meetings and special events industry
  • Previous leadership experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare all event documentation and coordinate with sales and hotel departments to ensure high-level service
  • Plan, organize, and manage in-house details for group and convention bookings including guest rooms, menus, and set-up
  • Participate in negotiating meetings for functions, rooms, rates and related requirements
  • Monitor event budgets and details to maximize revenue and minimize expenses while ensuring quality
  • Act as liaison between hotel and customer throughout pre-event, event, and post-event phases
  • Lead pre-event and post-event meetings for assigned groups and facilitate various event meetings
  • Manage group room blocks and meeting space to maximize utilization and profits
