Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in hotel management or equivalent
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in hotel event sales or event planning
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift, carry, push and pull moderate weight
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong customer service orientation

Job Duties
- Establish and maintain positive professional relationships with clients through effective communication
- Anticipate client needs and ensure their expectations and requirements are met prior to arrival and throughout their visit
- Attain service scores related to client satisfaction
- Respond to client exit interviews and meeting planner evaluations promptly
- Ensure all event functions are checked and details confirmed prior to client arrival
- Communicate relevant policies, procedures, and event details to clients accurately and timely
- Coordinate with all departments for rooming lists, meeting room setups, food and beverage, audio visual, recreation, transportation, billing and other event requirements
- Conduct pre- and post-event conferences
- Maintain organized and current client files
- Review in-house reports to ensure consistency and completeness
- Communicate effectively with operational departments to meet contractual obligations
- Attend weekly designated meetings
- Address operational problems as they arise
- Lead by example and foster a cooperative work environment
- Provide assistance to other departments as needed
