Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Four year college degree preferred
- Experience in a luxury hotel or resort environment required
- Minimum of 2 years as Department Head leading a team
- Minimum of 2 years catering sales experience
- Minimum of 2 years event planning experience
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong computer skills including Delphi, Excel, and Word
- Ability to travel within designated markets
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of current event management trends
- Ability to prepare complex reports and manage detailed information
Job Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations

- Excellent organizational and leadership skills

Job Duties
- Implement commercial strategic initiatives and monitor for best-in-class results
- Collaborate with operations to drive innovation and creativity within event delivery
- Partner with the Director of Events, DOSM, and operations to deliver high-impact event experiences
- Ensure that high quality service standards are maintained through continuous reviews of processes and procedures
- Plan, up-sell and detail the meeting/function with the client including space requirements, times, equipment, menus, themes/decorations
- Prepare and complete appropriate paperwork and coordinate with the hotel departments
- Resolve customer requests and questions to ensure quality product delivery and satisfaction
- Gather, organize and disseminate information regarding client event requirements to appropriate departments and clients
- Visually inspect all meeting rooms and public spaces to ensure compliance with BEOs
- Maximize revenues and control expenses through negotiation, accurate forecasting, and room block management
- Uphold and manage terms and conditions in group, catering, and event contracts
- Assist in designing improved standard operating procedures for training and execution
- Provide input and execute catering and events portion of the hotel’s business plan
- Develop target lists and action plans for account solicitation
- Service major accounts including high-end VIP groups and off-premises events
- Act as liaison between clients and hotel departments
- Assist with market studies and update pricing and menu offerings
- Maintain a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Demonstrate leadership that inspires team members and promotes empowerment
- Integrate current trends in event management and design
- Participate in customer site inspections and assist with sales
- Perform any other duties as assigned
