Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • at least 2 years work experience in hospitality or event planning
  • valid Ohio driver’s license
  • ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force and regularly lift 55 pounds
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
  • ability to collaborate with multiple departments
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • willingness to participate in property Manager on Duty program
  • pass background check and drug test

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • bachelor’s degree preferred or at least 2 years work experience in hospitality or event planning industry
  • affiliations with local industry associations such as ILEA, NACE, and WPC a plus
  • experience with Delphi and Maestro operating systems preferred
  • proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Mail Merges, Email and web searches
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • superb organizational skills with ability to prioritize and multitask

Job Duties

  • Plan and help to execute events and guest room related activities to ensure obligations are met
  • act as liaison between catering and operations teams
  • manage and monitor room blocks according to contract specifications
  • conduct reporting for group room blocks and catering revenue
  • manage marketing avenues for catering department
  • maintain strong client relations and ensure event specifications are executed
  • effectively upsell food and beverage, amenities, audiovisual and special request services
  • work with accounting on deposit schedules and payment methods
  • review master group folios for accuracy
  • handle multiple meetings and events simultaneously
  • assist with action plans, proposals and guest memos
  • participate in site tours with clients
  • greet clients prior to event start to address additional needs
  • work closely with conference services
  • participate in property Manager on Duty program
  • perform additional tasks as assigned
