Job Duties

  • Direct and oversee event logistics
  • coordinate with campus units to organize faculty resources
  • oversee planning and execution of workshops, seminars, and banquets including catering, menus, florals, linens, and AV needs
  • schedule venues and determine room layouts
  • communicate with presenters regarding presentation needs and issue letters of appreciation
  • produce nametags, table cards, seating charts, programs, and electronic invitations
  • manage signage, electronic handouts, and distribution of survey links
  • review survey responses to improve faculty event experience
  • provide logistical support for Faculty Learning and Leadership Learning Communities and belonging initiatives
  • manage faculty event-related projects assigned by Assistant Director
  • lead and supervise multi-tiered event staff including Assistant Event Coordinator and students
  • oversee interviewing, hiring, training, and performance management for event staff
  • direct collection and entry of event-related information into database including attendees and expenses
  • oversee preparation of workshop materials and major event binders
  • exercise stewardship of allocated budget and ensure compliance with university policies
  • compile and organize presenter and event feedback
  • oversee purchasing and inventory of event supplies
  • recommend and implement budget guidelines and operational policies
  • ensure compliance with university policies across event operations
  • provide professional customer service and public relations representing the Faculty Center
  • establish and maintain relationships with key campus units
  • serve as primary liaison for Faculty Center events ensuring coordination between Faculty Center, campus service providers, and event participants
