Job Requirements
- Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with evening and weekend hours as needed
- Positive, self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to superior customer service aligned with University mission and values
- Demonstrated caring and patient attitude with effective conflict-resolution skills
- Background check required
- May require credit check
- Must be designated as Responsible Employee under Title IX and comply with reporting obligations
Job Qualifications
- Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination
- Experience with event scheduling (EMS) and/or diagramming (Social Tables) software preferred
- Experience supervising students preferred
- Event management, hospitality, or operations experience preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong time management, written and oral communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience training and directing others
Job Duties
- Manage meetings, events, and tabling reservations in Student Union facilities for university groups
- Review reservation requests to ensure accuracy and assess charges
- Apply space utilization procedures to support operational efficiency
- Advise clients on policies, pricing, room setups, and available equipment
- Deliver presentations and training sessions to student organizations
- Evaluate risk and guide clients through required approval processes
- Coordinate with the Event Services team on production support and room setups
- Audit space setups and greet clients to verify services
- Collaborate on fees related to clean-up, damages, or additional services
- Conduct post-reservation client satisfaction surveys
- Enter applicable charges and manage invoicing and collections
- Hire, train, and supervise the Reservations Assistant student team
- Provide performance feedback and ongoing training
- Coach students on customer service skills and position knowledge
- Maintain position manuals and operational resources
- Serve as backup for other reservation coordinators and supervise guest services team in their absence
- Interpret university policies related to space reservations
- Perform duties during campus emergencies
- Assist with event setup as needed
