Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • flexibility in schedule including evening and weekend work
  • availability to work varying shifts
  • ability to coordinate with multiple teams and departments
  • effective communication skills
  • proficiency in event management software

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2-4 years university event planning and/or production experience
  • experience using event management and room diagramming software
  • high volume food and beverage or catering experience
  • experience servicing and/or selling to customers in a university setting
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • excellent rapport with customers
  • attention to detail and follow through skills
  • working knowledge of audiovisual equipment and professional printers

Job Duties

  • work with event services team and student staff to produce high-quality successful events
  • consult with customers to map out event needs including catering, audiovisual and production
  • plan food and beverage services for conferences and special events
  • coordinate with catering, audio visual, and production teams
  • serve as primary contact for customer needs before, during, and after events
  • oversee and ensure smooth execution of assigned events
  • coordinate event information with other university departments
