Job Requirements
- bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 years of relevant experience
- flexibility in schedule including evening and weekend work
- availability to work varying shifts
- ability to coordinate with multiple teams and departments
- effective communication skills
- proficiency in event management software
Job Qualifications
- bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2-4 years university event planning and/or production experience
- experience using event management and room diagramming software
- high volume food and beverage or catering experience
- experience servicing and/or selling to customers in a university setting
- strong communication and organizational skills
- excellent rapport with customers
- attention to detail and follow through skills
- working knowledge of audiovisual equipment and professional printers
Job Duties
- work with event services team and student staff to produce high-quality successful events
- consult with customers to map out event needs including catering, audiovisual and production
- plan food and beverage services for conferences and special events
- coordinate with catering, audio visual, and production teams
- serve as primary contact for customer needs before, during, and after events
- oversee and ensure smooth execution of assigned events
- coordinate event information with other university departments
