Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior event planning or administrative experience preferred
  • Familiarity with local food systems and sustainable agriculture production preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative problem solving abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and overnight travel
  • Provide own computer and reliable internet connection
  • Access to reliable transportation

Job Duties

  • Meet with and report to the Organic Outreach Coordinator weekly
  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing events from start to finish
  • Manage event timelines, checklists, and task tracking
  • Support event location planning including communication with venues, catering, and equipment rentals
  • Create and monitor registration and manage attendee communication
  • Help prepare event materials such as signage, name tags, and agendas
  • Assist with event marketing and outreach including copywriting and promotional materials
  • Attend all events and provide on-site support during events such as registration, set-up, tear-down, attendee assistance
  • Provide webinar support for online events
  • Track expenses and supply needs
  • Maintain accurate records, hourly tracking, and travel expenses
