Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum three years of experience in event planning or related fields
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and contract management
- Availability to work flexible hours during peak event seasons
- Ability to stand, walk, and handle objects up to 10 pounds during events
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Three years of experience directly related to event planning and coordination
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in contract negotiation and vendor management
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups including students, staff, and community partners
- Proficiency in budgeting, finance, and marketing strategies
Job Duties
- Plan, coordinate, and execute career-related programming and community engagement events including large-scale career fairs
- Ensure all events are delivered within established budgetary constraints
- Oversee logistical details such as scheduling, registration, vendor coordination, and participant communications
- Respond to inquiries, research, and resolve issues related to event operations and transactions
- Serve as liaison with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth coordination of events
- Develop and maintain event documentation, tracking systems, and reports
- Direct event set-up, technical requirements, food service, and facilities coordination
- Provide hands-on support during events and troubleshoot issues in real time
