Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Three years of relevant experience
  • An Associate's degree with five years of related experience or seven years of related experience may substitute for the degree
  • Strong knowledge of meeting and event planning principles
  • Knowledge of budgeting, accounting, and cost control
  • Familiarity with public institution purchasing procedures
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to negotiate and manage contracts

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in event planning, coordination, or related administrative functions preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, employers, and community partners

Job Duties

  • Designs, establishes, and oversees logistical and administrative support for career and community engagement events
  • Plans, coordinates, and executes large-scale career fairs and employer engagement programs
  • Manages event budgets and ensures adherence to budgetary constraints
  • Coordinates scheduling, registration, vendor relations, and participant communications
  • Directs on-site event setup, technical requirements, food service, and facility coordination
  • Researches and resolves operational issues and serves as liaison with stakeholders
  • Develops and maintains event documentation, tracking systems, and financial reports
