Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency with event technologies like Cvent
  • Knowledge of corporate event planning and hotel event operations
  • Experience in healthcare industry preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities
  • Ability to handle multiple deadlines and work independently
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a national or international corporate setting
  • Healthcare industry experience is highly preferred
  • 5+ years of recent experience with event technology (Cvent)
  • Thorough understanding of corporate event planning at hotels, including site visits, room block management, banquet event orders, audiovisual needs, food and beverage selection and on-site execution
  • Experience managing virtual events or webinars is preferred
  • Familiarity with hotel event operations and key personnel
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to anticipate challenges and develop proactive solutions
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Self-starter with minimal supervision
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Job Duties

  • Delivers innovative solutions to achieve event goals within budget, managing end-to-end logistics, including relationships with event hosts, hotels, venues, vendors and sponsors
  • Serves as the event lead and liaison for RP departments, C-level leaders, vendors, sponsors and other external partnerships
  • Conducts event site research, price analysis and manages detailed timelines and budgets
  • Collaborates with creative, communications, and digital teams to develop and activate event branding, communications, promotion, websites, registration processes and onsite activities
  • Prepares, reconciles, tracks, and submits expense reports and manages confidential information
  • Performs post-event evaluations, including focus groups and surveys, and handles special projects and department-specific assignments as needed
  • Reviews contracts and negotiates terms and rates
  • Establishes and maintains files, reports, databases, and other documents, and manages the procurement of supplies and services within assigned parameters
  • Manages inventory of event supplies, ensuring accurate tracking, timely restocking and proper storage
