Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- minimum 2-3 years experience in event management, customer service, or related field
- ability to provide exceptional customer service and handle multiple reservations and tasks
- proficiency in event scheduling and financial management software
- knowledge of CSU policies on safety, events with minors, and alcohol service
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- flexibility to work off-campus or after-hours events
- ability to use event-diagramming software and troubleshoot event technology
- valid driver’s license and current auto insurance
- mandatory reporter status and willingness to sign ASI Mandatory Reporter Form
- satisfactory employment history and criminal background investigation
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- 2-3 years of experience in event management, customer service, or a related field
- experience in higher education setting preferred
- strong commitment to exceptional customer service
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- highly organized and detail-oriented
- proficient in event scheduling, reservation management software, and basic computer literacy
- knowledge of facility use policies and procedures
- understanding of CSU standards regarding events with minors and alcohol service procedures
- knowledge of AV, lighting, and event technology
- familiarity with event-diagramming software
- basic understanding of financial processes for event payments and budgeting
- knowledge of safety regulations applicable to events
- ability to make sound decisions about event space allocation and client issues
Job Duties
- Process facility reservation requests from on-campus and off-campus clients
- determine appropriate facility and service requirements
- provide client with rental information including facility use policies, procedures, and resources, facility and staffing costs, catering and alcohol procedures, parking information, and important deadlines
- advise clients on other available campus resources
- review and determine appropriate risk management steps for clients and vendors
- ensure CSU standards regarding events with minors are enforced
- submit alcohol service requests on behalf of off-campus clients and ensure campus clients comply with Presidential Directive 1
- review food and beverage plans to coordinate with approved caterers
- utilize event-diagramming software to design meeting and event space layouts
- maintain adherence to safety regulations and attend safety meetings
- manage art gallery space reservations and the Student Art Show
- serve as liaison between University Conference Center and ASI programming departments
- assist in preparation of annual operating budget for art galleries
- assign charges for events and process payments according to procedures
- respond to customer requests and concerns with appropriate resolutions
- schedule and lead pre-event client walk-throughs
- attend and monitor high-profile or complex reservations
- collaborate with Communications, Marketing, and Design to promote the Art Gallery
- support day-to-day UCC operations including student staff support and client assistance
- support ASI's DEI plan in programming, services, and interactions
- perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
