Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years of related work experience in customer service, billing, or scheduling
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass a complete background check with no criminal or felony convictions
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Strong mathematical skills including basic arithmetic, rates, ratios, percentages, and complex financial reports interpretation
- Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions and solve problems
- Ability to handle stressful and emotional situations professionally
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Ability to work extended periods in front of a computer and move around the office and campus as needed
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate
- 2-4 years of experience in customer service, billing, or scheduling functions
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid Driver's License
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Superior customer service skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to maintain professional conduct in stressful situations
- Preferred: 4-year college degree
- Preferred: 2-5 years of parking experience including parking management software and e-commerce
- Preferred: knowledge of University parking operations and familiarity with T2 PowerPark Flex and BANNER university software
Job Duties
- Coordinate and allot parking permits for special events at the University of Denver
- Maintain a master calendar of parking events and requirements
- Perform daily office operations including answering multiple phone lines, data entry for customer permits, citations, and payments
- Train other office or field personnel on customer service duties and skills
- Act as an intermediary with the public, addressing complaints and resolving billing disputes
- Record all transactions in PowerPark FLEX, ensuring billing accuracy and reconciling reports
- Prepare and maintain confidential customer files and document service statistics
- Provide front-line customer service including selling permits, processing payments, and handling citation appeals
- Receive, adjudicate, and respond to customer citation appeals
- Collaborate with coworkers to improve office operations and implement new technologies
- Assist the Parking Manager with the accuracy of the master calendar and perform special events duties as needed
- Perform other assigned duties and special projects for the department
