Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least one year of customer service experience in a public facing environment
  • possess excellent verbal communication skills
  • ability to work with minimal supervision
  • ability to maintain a high level of focus while monitoring traffic and activities
  • capable of standing or walking for entire shift
  • able to work outdoors in extreme heat and cold
  • physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch
  • ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • able to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • able to work in environment with traffic, noise, weather conditions, vehicle fumes, and crowds
  • able to walk frequently during peak demand and navigate crowded parking facility

Job Qualifications

  • ability to maintain focus in a busy environment
  • ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • fluency in languages other than English is valued

Job Duties

  • Support event parking operations: perform routine opening and closing procedures
  • maintain inventory of supplies
  • ensure parking systems and equipment are functional
  • assist customers with payment transactions
  • provide flagging and vehicle traffic control as needed
  • ensure all customer facing signage and pay stations accurately display current rate information
  • troubleshoot equipment and system issues and report outages to service providers
  • keep vehicle lanes, roadways, parking ramp and stairways free of obstructions and debris
  • perform trash removal and winter maintenance activities
  • interact professionally with customers, clients, and personnel using clear verbal and written communication
  • promote museum amenities, memberships, exhibits, programs, and events
  • keep personnel work areas clean and secure
  • escalate incidents to security personnel and management immediately
  • operate parking equipment and safety tools safely
  • perform other supportive duties as assigned
