Job Requirements

  • Relevant experience in event management or hospitality operations
  • high school diploma or equivalent required
  • ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • knowledge of compliance standards in food and beverage service
  • availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • ability to lead and mentor a diverse team

Job Qualifications

  • Strong leadership, motivational, and coaching skills
  • exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • in-depth knowledge of hotel operations including audio/visual, food and beverage outlets, culinary, engineering, and sales
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • proactive mindset with foresight to anticipate guest and event needs
  • comprehensive understanding of event planning processes from start to finish

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with the sales team and head chef to deliver exceptional events that exceed guest expectations
  • plan event layouts, oversee venue setup, and ensure all event elements such as tables, linens, and centerpieces are perfectly arranged
  • coordinate staffing needs and prepare work schedules for banquet servers and event staff
  • oversee the smooth execution of meals and beverages, ensuring seamless service from seating to table clearing
  • manage liquor and soft drink availability when required and maintain compliance with service regulations
  • act as a leader and mentor by coaching and training team members to ensure operational excellence
