Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, business administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in event planning and operations management
- Proven ability to manage complex events from start to finish
- Strong knowledge of venue operations, logistics, and production needs
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- High proficiency in event management software and MS Office
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and solve problems efficiently
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in event planning and operations management preferably in the leisure or sports industry
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex events from inception to completion
- Strong understanding of venue operations, logistics, and production requirements
- Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in event management software and MS Office Suite
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules
Job Duties
- Develop and manage comprehensive event operational plans including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Oversee venue selection, negotiation, and management ensuring all requirements are met
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for event-related services such as catering, AV, security, and staffing
- Manage on-site event setup, execution, and breakdown ensuring smooth operations
- Develop and implement staffing plans including recruitment, training, and supervision of event staff
- Ensure all events comply with safety regulations, licensing, and permit requirements
- Manage event budgets, track expenses, and provide financial reports
- Serve as the primary point of contact for on-site logistics and problem-solving during events
- Collaborate with marketing, programming, and other departments to ensure seamless event delivery
- Conduct post-event evaluations to identify successes and areas for improvement
- Maintain strong relationships with venues, vendors, and key stakeholders
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in event management
