Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience in event management, food and beverage, or related professional area
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work on-site at JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort
- Availability to work part-time schedule
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities including financial and administrative tasks
- Commitment to upholding Marriott International's standards and policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, or related professional area
- Knowledge of banquet operations and event laws
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage teams and delegate tasks effectively
- Experience in handling customer service issues and resolving complaints
- Familiarity with scheduling and inventory management
Job Duties
- Direct and motivate banquet teams to provide high-quality service
- Monitor and control financial and administrative responsibilities including asset protection
- Manage banquet operations including supply projections and scheduling staff
- Ensure compliance with laws, standards, policies, and sanitation levels
- Lead shifts and actively participate in servicing events
- Handle guest feedback, resolve complaints, and promote excellent customer service
- Conduct training sessions and departmental meetings to improve performance
