Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in event management, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work on-site at JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort
  • Availability to work part-time schedule
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities including financial and administrative tasks
  • Commitment to upholding Marriott International's standards and policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Knowledge of banquet operations and event laws
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage teams and delegate tasks effectively
  • Experience in handling customer service issues and resolving complaints
  • Familiarity with scheduling and inventory management

Job Duties

  • Direct and motivate banquet teams to provide high-quality service
  • Monitor and control financial and administrative responsibilities including asset protection
  • Manage banquet operations including supply projections and scheduling staff
  • Ensure compliance with laws, standards, policies, and sanitation levels
  • Lead shifts and actively participate in servicing events
  • Handle guest feedback, resolve complaints, and promote excellent customer service
  • Conduct training sessions and departmental meetings to improve performance
