- minimum 2 years’ experience in event management, food and beverage, or related area
- ability to lead and motivate a team
- strong organizational and communication skills
- knowledge of banquet operations and service standards

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Directs and motivates team while providing high quality service based on requirements and standards
- monitors and controls financial and administrative responsibilities including asset protection
- provides clear and concise communications to all stakeholders in event success
- identifies training opportunities and plans strategy to accomplish goals
- manages banquet operations including supply projections and inventory maintenance
- applies knowledge of laws related to events and adheres to policies and procedures
- leads banquet teams by setting goals, delegating tasks, conducting meetings, and liaising with kitchen staff
- executes event services operations and maintains inventories
- attends pre-event meetings to understand group needs
- conducts function room inspections and verifies room setups
- maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards
- acts as liaison between banquets, event planning, event technology teams and group contacts
- projects supply needs
- coordinates routine maintenance of meeting facilities
- resolves issues and suggests alternatives
- verifies function rooms meet event documentation and customer requirements
- sets a positive example for guest relations
- interacts with guests to obtain feedback and handles complaints
- encourages employees to provide excellent customer service
- conducts human resources activities including training, performance appraisals, and enforcement of policies
- fosters open and collaborative relationships with associates
- participates in development and implementation of corrective action plans
- attends and leads departmental meetings and discussions
- delegates tasks to verify room setups meet standards and timelines
