Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in event management, food and beverage, or related field
  • Demonstrable leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage financial and administrative tasks
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and emergency protocols
  • Capacity to work flexible hours including event dates
  • Proficient in multitasking and problem-solving under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Knowledge of event-related laws and regulations
  • Understanding of food and wine pairings and current event trends
  • Ability to handle guest concerns and maintain high customer satisfaction
  • Experience in scheduling and inventory management
  • Capable of conducting staff training and performance evaluations
  • Skilled in coordinating between multiple teams

Job Duties

  • Direct and motivate banquet team while providing high quality service
  • Monitor and control financial and administrative responsibilities including asset protection
  • Provide clear and concise communications to all stakeholders involved in events
  • Identify training opportunities and plan strategies to accomplish goals
  • Project supply needs and manage departmental inventories and equipment
  • Schedule and forecast staffing for event services to maximize profits
  • Develop lasting relationships with clients to retain business and foster growth
  • Set goals, delegate tasks, and lead departmental meetings
  • Apply knowledge of food and wine pairings and current event trends
  • Act as liaison between banquet and kitchen staff
  • Lead shifts and participate in event servicing
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve complaints
  • Empower employees to provide excellent customer service
  • Monitor employee performance and provide feedback
  • Communicate and enforce safety and emergency procedures
  • Participate in development and implementation of corrective action plans
  • Attend and engage in pertinent meetings
