Job Requirements

- Minimum 2 years experience in event management or related field
- Availability to work full time at Renaissance Nashville Hotel
- Strong leadership capabilities
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Willingness to participate actively in event servicing
- Familiarity with hotel policies, procedures, and event laws

Job Duties
- Direct and motivate banquet and event services team
- Assist in providing high-quality service based on standards
- Monitor and control financial and administrative responsibilities including asset protection
- Provide clear and concise communication to stakeholders
- Identify training opportunities and plan strategies
- Project supply needs for banquet operations
- Apply knowledge of relevant laws related to events
- Manage departmental inventories and equipment
- Schedule staff to meet service standards and maximize profits
- Develop relationships with groups to retain business and increase growth
- Set goals and delegate tasks to improve departmental performance
- Conduct monthly department meetings
- Lead shifts and actively participate in event servicing
- Attend pre-event meetings to understand group needs
- Conduct function room inspections
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Act as liaison between banquet, event planning, and event technology teams
- Resolve issues and suggest alternatives
- Set positive examples for guest relations
- Interact with guests for feedback
- Respond to guest problems and complaints
- Encourage employees to provide excellent customer service
- Verify employees understand expectations
- Conduct associate performance appraisals and provide feedback
- Participate in development and implementation of corrective actions
- Ensure safety procedures are communicated and followed
- Delegate tasks to verify timely room sets according to event standards
