Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in event management, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proficient understanding of event-related laws and regulations
  • Ability to maintain high sanitation and safety standards
  • Capable of managing inventory and departmental supplies
  • Experience in scheduling staff and managing budgets
  • Willingness to participate actively in event service operations

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Directs and motivates banquet team to deliver high quality service
  • Monitors and controls financial and administrative responsibilities including asset protection
  • Projects supply needs for banquet operations including tables, chairs, and meeting sets
  • Applies knowledge of laws related to events and adheres to all standards, policies, and procedures
  • Maintains sanitation levels and manages departmental inventories
  • Schedules and leads Event Services staff to meet service standards and maximize profits
  • Builds lasting relationships with clients to retain and grow business
  • Conducts monthly department meetings and sets goals to improve performance
  • Acts as liaison between banquet, kitchen, event planning, and event technology teams
  • Attends pre-event meetings and verifies event setups comply with Banquet Event Orders
  • Resolves guest complaints and ensures exceptional customer service
  • Conducts associate performance appraisals and provides constructive feedback
  • Implements corrective action plans and participates in property’s emergency procedures
  • Verifies associates understand performance expectations and departmental standards
  • Leads by example in servicing events and shift management
