Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, or related area
  • availability to work full time
  • strong organizational and multitasking abilities

  • knowledge of banquet operations and customer service standards
  • proficiency with relevant software and tools

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Project supply needs for banquet operations including tables and chairs
  • apply knowledge of all event-related laws and regulations
  • manage activities to maximize customer satisfaction
  • adhere to and reinforce departmental standards, policies, and procedures
  • maintain established sanitation levels
  • manage departmental inventories and maintain equipment
  • schedule Event Services staff to meet forecast and service standards while maximizing profits
  • assist team in developing lasting relationships with groups to retain business and increase growth
  • set goals and delegate tasks to improve departmental performance
  • conduct monthly department meetings with the banquet team
  • apply and broaden knowledge of food and wine pairings and current event trends
  • act as liaison to kitchen staff
  • lead shifts and actively participate in event service
  • set a positive example for guest relations
  • interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
  • respond to and handle guest problems and complaints
  • empower employees to provide excellent customer service
  • verify employees understand expectations and parameters
  • strive to improve service performance
  • emphasize guest satisfaction during all departmental meetings
  • review comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees
  • communicate and execute departmental and property emergency procedures and verify safety training
  • observe service behaviors and provide feedback
  • monitor progress and lead staff discussions
  • participate in development and implementation of corrective action plans
  • review meeting planner survey results and implement corrective actions
  • attend and participate in all pertinent meetings
