Job Requirements

  • bachelor’s degree or associate degree with relevant experience
  • 1-3 years of event operations or coordination experience
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • willingness to work onsite in Providence, RI
  • proficiency with work order management systems and Google Suite
  • effective time management and organizational skills
  • ability to walk around campus
  • strong problem-solving skills

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of event coordination experience
  • associate degree and 3 years of related experience
  • equivalent combination of education and experience
  • proficiency in Google Suite and event management software
  • excellent communication skills
  • strong customer service orientation
  • knowledge of conference facilities and event technology

Job Duties

  • process event requests through the work order management system
  • oversee and coordinate the preparation and implementation of operational support for university events
  • make sure that all event requests are accurate and comply with university policies
  • schedule deliveries and pickups to avoid conflicts with other events
  • allot time for event set-up and breakdown coordinating with nearby activities
  • generate work orders for facilities management trades as needed
  • input billing information to streamline the billing process
  • check on events to confirm smooth operation
  • communicate with multiple departments
