Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective interaction with diverse populations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows OS
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects to meet deadlines
- Must maintain a positive and objective attitude under stress
- Availability to work first-shift schedule with occasional evenings and weekends
- Successful completion of required background checks involving access to sensitive personal identifiable information
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 2 years of directly related, professional experience in student center operations, hospitality, conferences and event services, or related field
- Experience in a university environment preferred
- Proficiency with event management software such as 25Live and Social Tables
- Skilled in operating and troubleshooting audiovisual equipment and smart room technology
- Experience with staff management software including When to Work, Slack, Canvas, and Kronos
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Job Duties
- Manage the comprehensive lifecycle of events including intake, scheduling, execution, and billing
- Coordinate event logistics ensuring seamless operations across multiple campus venues
- Supervise student event staff and ensure effective team collaboration
- Oversee marketing and communication efforts to promote event spaces
- Maintain high standards of customer service for diverse university constituencies
- Utilize campus systems and event management software for operational efficiency
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Associate Director for Operations
