Job Requirements
- Must have a minimum of two years of related work experience
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
- Ability to stand for up to 6 hours at a time
- Available to work flexible hours including weekends and some evenings
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and maintain a positive attitude
- Reliable and able to work with limited supervision
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of work experience in a position requiring related skills or experience
- Event planning or project management experience a plus
- An associate or bachelor’s degree a plus
- Experience in operational and logistical focused event planning a plus
- Strong organization skills
- Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite with aptitude to learn new software and systems
- Experience with VenueOps and All Seated software a plus
- Ability to work within a budget
- Knowledge of fee-based programs a plus
- Ability to represent Space Center Houston professionally
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Must be coachable and willing to learn while maintaining a positive attitude
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment responding professionally to unexpected changes
- Excellent relationship building, interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent oral and written communication, customer service and problem-solving skills
- A high-energy self-starter able to work as part of a small team in a consensus decision-making environment
- Must be independent, reliable, and able to work with limited supervision

Job Duties
- Read and respond to incoming emails ensuring a timely response accurate material organization of the email professional delivery of the email
- Support the planning and implementation of assigned events at Space Center Houston including private third-party events
- Meet or exceed weekly touchpoint goals with all clients and potential clients
- Collaborate with peers to achieve team goals
- Work closely with Wolfgang Puck Catering to assist in creating a full spectrum event experience and facilitate upselling of event enhancements
- Focus on streamlining the event planning process within the events department
- Assist the Manager of Event Sales and Operations and events team with administrative and clerical tasks
- Monitor special events inbox and respond to internal meeting requests
- Oversee onsite operations of assigned events as needed utilizing VenueOps software
- Work with internal teams to monitor event registrations and special requests
- Prepare and distribute Event Notices and diagrams for assigned events
- Participate in weekly BEO meetings to convey event needs and updates
- Manage weekly distribution calendar and daily communication updates for the event team
- Provide weekly updates to the Manager of Event Sales and Operations on assigned programs
- Perform office duties and special projects as requested
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
