Job Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent
  • Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Prior sales experience required
  • Hotel sales experience strongly preferred
  • Proven experience in event management
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Familiarity with budgeting and financial management
  • Experience in negotiating contracts preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial management in an event context
  • Experience in negotiating contracts with hotels, venues, and catering services is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Prior experience working in a hotel or banquet setting is a plus
  • College degree with hotel major is preferred

Job Duties

  • Handle large volume of accounts, typically events occurring in the near term
  • Maintain an organized system to ensure all viable inquiries are pursued in a timely manner
  • Follow up and returned calls, quotes, proposals, and contracts must be completed without delay as potential customers are shopping other properties
  • Perform administrative duties including inputting BEOs, preparing and sending out contracts and proposals, guest account management, billing
  • Coordinate various departments participation in servicing accounts
  • Conduct site inspections and report any repairs or maintenance needs
  • Tour clients providing information about the property
  • Meet, greet, and entertain potential clients to increase sales
  • Supervise overall setup and implementation of events and meetings
  • Conduct early morning introduction sessions with clients to ensure satisfaction
  • Attend trade shows and community events to represent the property and acquire new business leads
