Job Duties
- Oversees and develops vision, strategy and standards for internal and external events including in-person and virtual formats
- Oversees all aspects of events including vendor contract negotiation, site reviews, venue selection, logistics planning, staffing coordination and budgeting
- Collaborates with executive leadership and committee chairs to align events with institutional priorities
- Manages overall MCW event experience in alignment with brand strategy
- Administers management of a $350,000 institutional events budget and tracks expenses and revenue
- Develops communication and engagement strategies for best practices in events
- Creates and monitors success metrics to evaluate event participant experience and engagement
- Establishes protocols for professional standards and event production
- Works with departments to ensure events are on-brand and enhance MCW’s image
- Manages events team including direct reports and day-of-event staff
- Develops and monitors timelines and project plans for event execution
- Identifies and manages portfolio of recommended vendors, emphasizing procurement from minority and women-owned businesses
- Maintains relations with venue and contractor partners
- Coordinates pre-meeting logistics including venue reservations, room setups, food and beverage functions, and audiovisual requirements
- Provides logistical support for amenities, transportation and special reservations
- Offers on-site set up and event day support
- Travels to MCW regional campuses or event sites as required
