Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or technical degree desired
- 3-5 years experience in facility events and operations management or equivalent
- Experience in public assembly industry supervisory or management role
- Familiarity with theater technical equipment and production a plus
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and extended shifts
- Knowledge of budget preparation and control
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office
- Understanding of crowd management, fire and public safety regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to make decisions under pressure
- Must be self motivated and organized
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Willingness to travel occasionally
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Technical degree from an accredited college/university/school preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in facility events and operations management or an equivalent degree with in Sports and Entertainment Management
- Related experience and/or training in the public assembly industry in a supervisory or management position
- Experience with Theater technical equipment and production preferred
- Must be able to work flexible schedule including, early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and extended number of consecutive days
- Knowledge of budget preparation and control
- Proficient knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office software
- Knowledge of operational characteristics of events, including crowd management and control techniques

- Self motivated with excellent interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to function and make management decisions in a fast paced high pressure environment with strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Occasional travel may be required
Job Duties
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, and facilitating the logistics of events throughout Enmarket Arena and the Johnny Mercer Theatre
- Work with and in support of the VP of Events and Operations and Senior Event Manager to coordinate, plan and execute events throughout the arena and outside surrounding areas
- Timely and accurately communicate with building staff and all requirements necessary for the event
- Prepare event estimates as determined by requirements using annual budget as a guide
- Work with third party groups to select, train, motivate and evaluate Front of House and Back of House staff
- Coordinate event seating layouts with ticket office when necessary
- Coordinate show requirements with tour production managers
- Prepare data sheet for building personnel prior to each event
- Present event previews/reviews in weekly staff meeting
- Develop and control event budgets including preparing pre-show event financial estimates and completing post-show financial settlements based on contractual
- Deliver timely and accurate event information to the finance department for settlement/invoicing
- Troubleshoot during event preparation and during event to ensure that all event setups are correct including making decisions about policy, procedures, billing and staffing
- Oversee all production, set up, event staff, event-related contract services
- Schedule through third party for event staff, security staff, police fire and EMS staff and delegate assignments and review performance and results
- Facilitate event load ins and load outs that are typically early in the mornings and/or late into the evenings
- Communicate in a timely fashion to the VP of Events and Operations and Senior Event Manager
- Receives and responds to tenants and the public or refers them to the VP of Events and Operations
- Prepares events reports noting attendance, times, significant problems
- Interacts with other facility staff in a courteous, cooperative, and professional manner
