Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
- Minimum five years related experience and/or training
- Minimum three years event management or convention services experience preferred
- Experience with major sports team preferred
- Knowledge of facility management and customer service practices
- Ability to work extended, irregular hours including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
- Licensed to operate a motor vehicle in the United States
- Ability to work under pressure and handle high stress situations
- Ability to use Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
- Five years related experience and/or training
- Experience in event management or convention services preferred
- Experience working with a major professional sports team preferred
- Knowledge of public assembly facility management and customer service practices
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry terminology and operational procedures
- Strong supervisory, training, and budgeting skills
- Ability to handle conflict and make decisions under pressure
- Good written, verbal, and computer skills
- Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Adobe Illustrator is a plus
- Licensed to operate a motor vehicle in the United States
Job Duties
- Plan, organize, and manage assigned events at NRG Park
- Work under the guidance of the Houston Texans Lead Event Manager for Texans special events
- Report to the Senior Event Manager for all NRG Park event-related duties
- Collaborate to ensure Texans special events are executed accurately and efficiently
- Prepare estimates, logistical documents, and post-event notes related to Texans events
- Coordinate overlaps from other events to Texans special events
- Supervise medical personnel, crowd control, ushers, ticket takers, and police officers during events
