Job Requirements
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check
- Applicants must be currently legally authorized to work for Carnegie Mellon University in the United States
- Knowledge of event management software and tools
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work part-time
- Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 1-3 years of event planning experience required experience in arts film or technology contexts is preferred
- A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered
- Proven experience managing events with strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of partners
- Familiarity with immersive or interactive media is welcome but not required
Job Duties
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of event logistics including scheduling space reservations vendor coordination hospitality and on-site execution
- Oversee budget tracking and expense management to ensure the event remains aligned with financial parameters
- Collaborate closely with the project lead and campus partners to ensure smooth planning and implementation
- Support the successful engagement of participants and contributors from media and related fields
- Perform other duties as assigned
