Job Requirements
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check
- Currently legally authorized to work for Carnegie Mellon University in the United States
- Availability for part-time work at 20 hours per week
- Commitment to a fixed-term position lasting approximately one month
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 1-3 years of event planning experience required
- Experience in arts, film, or technology contexts preferred
- Combination of education and relevant experience may be considered
Job Duties
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of event logistics including scheduling, space reservations, vendor coordination, hospitality, and on-site execution
- Oversee budget tracking and expense management to ensure alignment with financial parameters
- Collaborate closely with project lead and campus partners for smooth planning and implementation
- Support engagement of participants and contributors from media and related fields
- Perform other duties as assigned
