Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years of experience in event planning and execution within a hotel or resort environment
  • Relevant degree in business, hospitality, or related field is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple large scale events simultaneously
  • Proficient with event management software such as Delphi.fdc is desirable
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and negotiate effectively
  • Flexible schedule and regular attendance
  • High level of organizational and problem-solving skills

Job Qualifications

  • Two years of experience planning and executing events within a hotel or resort environment
  • Relevant degree in business development or other relevant business field
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or Certified Professional in Catering and Events (CPCE) designation is advantageous
  • Knowledge of Delphi.fdc event management software is a plus

Job Duties

  • Organize, plan and prioritize duties by developing plans and goals
  • Timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person
  • Create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations and deliver on those expectations
  • Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, systems, and processes
  • Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts
  • Sell and influence both internal and external clients
  • Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating the issues and determine the best solution
  • Ensure high quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand guest needs, providing direction and guidance, feedback and individual coaching when needed
  • Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary
  • Perform other duties as necessary based on business needs
  • Regular attendance
