Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of experience in event management at a large hotel or luxury brand
- Ability to work Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with flexibility for earlier/later hours and some weekends
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to handle conflict and negotiate effectively
- Proficient in using event management systems
- Commitment to delivering high-quality guest service
- Ability to maintain regular attendance
- Must be adaptable and customer-focused
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of event experience within a big box hotel environment, preferably Hilton or another luxury brand
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Knowledge of event systems, products, and processes
- Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Sales and upselling abilities
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to provide leadership and guidance
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including some weekends
- Demonstrated commitment to Hilton’s core values and key attributes
Job Duties
- Organize, plan, and prioritize duties by developing clear plans and goals
- Communicate effectively with internal and external clients through various channels including telephone, email, and in-person interactions
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to set and meet expectations
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of job systems, products, and processes
- Resolve conflicts, negotiate with others, and handle complaints, disputes, and grievances
- Influence and sell to both internal and external clients to maximize event opportunities
- Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing issues and determining the best solutions
- Deliver high-quality service by understanding guest needs and providing direction, guidance, feedback, and coaching when required
- Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as needed
- Perform other duties as necessary based on business needs
- Maintain regular attendance to ensure consistent service
