Job Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in event management at a large hospitality property
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday with flexibility for early/late hours and some weekends
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism
  • Must be able to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Proficient in computer applications related to event planning and coordination

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of event experience at a "big box" hotel of Hilton or luxury brand
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including some weekends as required
  • Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office suite

Job Duties

  • Organize, plan, and prioritize duties by developing clear plans and goals
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external clients through telephone, email, and in-person interactions
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to set and meet expectations
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of job systems, products, and processes
  • Resolve conflicts, negotiate with others, and handle complaints, disputes, and grievances
  • Influence and sell to both internal and external clients to maximize event opportunities
  • Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing issues and determining the best solutions
  • Deliver high-quality service by understanding guest needs and providing direction, guidance, feedback, and coaching
  • Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as needed
  • Maintain regular attendance to ensure consistent service
