Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year supervisory or managerial experience
  • food handler certification
  • RBS certification
  • 2-3 years customer service experience preferably in hospitality and/or catering
  • strong organizational skills
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • knowledge of event management software is a plus

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one or more years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • a four-year college degree preferred but not required
  • food handler certification required
  • RBS certification required
  • 2-3 years customer service experience preferably in hospitality and/or catering industry
  • event operations experience in a country or golf club or director level position at high-end, resort-style, family-oriented club, hospitality, or event facility
  • in depth understanding of upscale large service event management
  • excellent written and oral communication skills
  • good verbal and written English language skills
  • bilingual a plus
  • possess solid time management skills

Job Duties

  • Manage event schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels and review/approve time and attendance
  • assist with management of comprehensive catering production schedule and event planning documents including party rental breakout, floor plans, vendor selection
  • support the logistical planning and execution of events
  • serve as a liaison between event operation and sales
  • day-to-day administration of events and programs including placing orders, BEO review, monitoring vendors, answering questions, resolving issues, client-facing duties
  • organize and assist in management of inventory
  • assist with client walk-throughs and venue tours
  • respond to incoming event leads and gather information for Event Sales Manager
  • maintain inventory and product allocation for shows
  • maintain an updated list of scheduled events and event assets
  • assist with managing event production schedule and event vendors throughout event day
  • assist with set up of food stations and buffets
  • participate in final end-of-night venue walkthrough to ensure appropriate breakdown procedures and clean-up
  • responsible for staffing, hiring, training and managing Events Front of House Staff
  • facilitate post-event reporting and documentation
  • assist in editing and designing marketing and promotional materials
