Job Description

The Event Manager role at Snapdragon Stadium is a vital position responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of assigned events. Reporting to the Director of Events, the Event Manager collaborates across various stadium departments and works closely with public safety officials to ensure events operate smoothly and safely. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • three to five years of increasingly responsible experience in event management
  • strong oral and written communication skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • possession of or ability to obtain a valid driver's license
  • ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Three to five years experience in event management in stadiums or public assembly facilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in facility management, hospitality, business or related field
  • Experience working with concert promoters, sporting teams, and event planners
  • Experience with production management including lighting, AV, and stage operations
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one
  • Knowledge of event operations and crowd management
  • Familiar with customer service and facility contracts
  • Knowledge of fire and public safety regulations
  • Understanding of AV equipment in public venues
  • Experience with budget preparation and control
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Duties

  • Advance, plan, service, and supervise all events by communicating effectively with event promoters, production managers, and stadium departments
  • Lead pre-event production meetings
  • Write detailed production notes for all event aspects
  • Direct, motivate, and collaborate with staff and contractors
  • Analyze challenges and implement solutions to support organizational objectives
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff, and public officials
  • Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Assist departments in event preparations
  • Compile and estimate pre-event expenses
  • Provide detailed reports for post-event settlements
  • Advise on services from independent contractors
  • Serve as liaison between facility users and staff
  • Recommend and evaluate event staffing levels
  • Coordinate communications with box office, booking, and marketing teams
  • Manage load-in and load-out communications
  • Resolve event-related complaints professionally
  • Communicate with municipal officials for security coordination
  • Coordinate food and beverage services
  • Serve as Manager on Duty as scheduled
  • Perform other duties as assigned
