Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years experience in event management or operations
- Minimum two years in supervisory or management roles
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Knowledge of ADA compliance
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience in large-scale event settings
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Problem-solving mindset
Job Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience managing events or operations in a large-scale event setting
- Bachelor's degree in Sport/Event Management, Hospitality, Training & Education, Business Administration, or equivalent
- At least two years experience in a management position with supervisory responsibility
- Passion for high-quality guest service
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work event nights, weekends, and holidays
- AutoCAD experience
- Knowledge of ADA code and compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with large-scale events in stadium, concert, or multi-use facilities
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders and demographics
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently
Job Duties
- Directs two hundred part-time event staff to enhance guest and client experience
- Develop and implement a comprehensive guest service program
- Meet with client groups to plan and organize assigned meetings and events
- Create AutoCAD layouts for events
- Consult with exhibit managers, promoters, and athletic representatives concerning setup needs and licensed areas
- Prepare work orders and cost-estimates
- Keep clients informed about schedules and requirements
- Prepare cost estimates and monitor final billing
- Maintain event-related reports and files
- Ensure staff compliance with company policies
- Guide clients on contract provisions and procedures
- Maintain event operations equipment
- Make hospitality arrangements
- Create and distribute detailed event information sheets
- Prepare and approve payroll for event staff
- Review emergency planning procedures
- Provide leadership to event personnel
- Work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Develop collateral materials like Accessibility Guide and Event Handbook
- Act as manager on duty
- Create work schedules for staff and security
- Recommend and evaluate staffing levels
- Investigate and resolve event-related complaints
- Assist in building preparation for events
- Maintain effective working relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Perform other assigned duties
