Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years event management experience in large-scale settings
  • At least 2 years management and supervisory experience
  • Proven ability to lead large staff
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of ADA compliance
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with large-scale venues preferred
  • Capability to multitask and prioritize effectively

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience managing events or operations in large-scale settings
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sport/Event Management, Hospitality, Training & Education, Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • At least two years in a management position with supervisory and decision-making responsibilities
  • Passion for delivering high-quality guest service
  • Creative problem solver with ability to address guest concerns professionally
  • Adaptable and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Availability to work event nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Knowledgeable in ADA code and compliance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with large-scale events in stadium, concert, or multi-use facilities of 10,000 seats or more highly desirable
  • Experience servicing diverse stakeholders and demographics
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently

Job Duties

  • Directs two hundred part-time event staff to enhance guest and client experience
  • Develop and implement comprehensive guest service program
  • Meet with client groups to plan and organize assigned events
  • Create AutoCAD for events
  • Consult stakeholders regarding physical set-up needs and prepare work orders and cost estimates
  • Keep clients informed on schedule status including floor plans, insurance, and set-up specifications
  • Prepare cost estimates and monitor final billing
  • Maintain event-related reports and files
  • Ensure staff compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Guide clients by interpreting contracts, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain event operations equipment
  • Make hospitality arrangements as needed
  • Create and distribute detailed information sheets before events
  • Prepare and approve payroll for event staff
  • Review emergency procedures with event staff
  • Provide leadership and guidance
  • Work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Develop collateral materials such as Accessibility Guide and Event Handbook
  • Act as manager on duty as required
  • Create work schedules for event staff and support personnel
  • Recommend and evaluate event staffing levels
  • Investigate and resolve event-related complaints
  • Assist in building preparation for events
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Perform all other assigned duties
