Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of event management experience
- 2+ years in management with supervisory responsibilities
- AutoCAD proficiency
- Knowledge of ADA compliance
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to handle pressure and provide creative solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Job Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience managing events or operations in large-scale settings
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sport/Event Management, Hospitality, Training & Education, or Business Administration or equivalent
- At least two years experience in a management position with supervisory and decision-making responsibility
- Passion for quality service and guest satisfaction
- Creative problem solver with ability to remain calm under pressure
- Adaptable with ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work event nights, weekends, and holidays
- AutoCAD experience required
- Knowledgeable in ADA code and compliance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with large-scale events (10,000+ seats) in stadiums, concerts, or multi-use facilities preferred
- Experience servicing diverse stakeholders and demographics
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize needs
Job Duties
- Directs two hundred part-time event staff to enhance guest and client experience
- Develop and implement a comprehensive guest service program
- Meet with client groups to plan and organize assigned meetings and events
- Create AutoCAD layouts for events
- Consult with exhibit managers, promoters, and athletic representatives concerning physical setup needs
- Prepare work orders and cost estimates
- Keep clients informed about deadlines and event specifications
- Prepare cost estimates and monitor final billing
- Maintain event-related reports and files
- Ensure staff compliance with company policies
- Guide clients in event preparation and contract provisions
- Maintain event operations equipment
- Make hospitality arrangements
- Create and distribute detailed information sheets
- Prepare and approve payroll for event staff
- Review emergency planning procedures
- Provide leadership and guidance to event personnel
- Work flexible schedules including nights and holidays
- Develop collateral materials for employees and fans
- Act as manager on duty as needed
- Create work schedules for staff, medical, police, maintenance, and operations
- Recommend and evaluate required event staffing levels
- Investigate and resolve event-related complaints
- Assist in building preparation for events
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Perform all other duties as assigned
