Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years managing events and operations in a large venue setting
- Minimum two years supervisory experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Knowledge of ADA compliance
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience in large-scale event management
- Passion for customer service
- Creative problem-solving skills
Job Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience managing events or operations in a large-scale event setting
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sport/Event Management, Hospitality, Training & Education, or Business Administration or equivalent experience
- At least two years experience in a management role with supervisory responsibilities
- Passion for providing high-quality service and prioritizing guest needs
- Creative problem solver with ability to handle guest concerns professionally under pressure
- Adaptability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work event nights, weekends, and holidays
- AutoCAD experience
- Knowledge of ADA code and compliance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with large scale events in stadium, concert, or multi-use facilities of similar size is highly desirable
- Experience serving diverse stakeholders and demographics
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
Job Duties
- Directs two hundred part-time event staff including ushers, ticket takers, back of house security, and parking employees to enhance the guest and client experience
- Develop and implement a comprehensive guest service program
- Meet with client groups to plan and organize assigned meetings and events
- Create AutoCAD floor plans for events
- Consult with exhibit managers, promoters, and athletic representatives regarding physical set-up needs and prepare work orders and cost estimates
- Keep clients informed on deadline schedules, meeting room set-ups, insurance requirements, and other relevant details
- Prepare cost estimates and monitor final billing
- Maintain event-related reports, information, and files
- Ensure staff compliance with company policies and procedures
- Guide clients on contract provisions, policies, and procedures
- Maintain event operations equipment such as radios and metal detection wands
- Make hospitality arrangements as needed
- Create and distribute detailed information sheets before events
- Prepare and approve payroll for event staff
- Review emergency planning procedures with event staff
- Provide leadership and guidance for event personnel
- Work a flexible schedule including long nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Develop collateral materials for employees and fans such as the Accessibility Guide and Event Handbook
- Act as manager on duty as required
- Create work schedules for event staff, medical, police, maintenance, and operations
- Recommend and evaluate required event staffing levels
- Investigate and resolve event-related complaints to ensure customer satisfaction
- Assist in building preparation to meet event requirements
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
- Perform other duties as assigned
