Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of event management experience
- At least 2 years in a supervisory management role
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- AutoCAD proficiency
- Knowledge of ADA compliance
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage large teams
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong problem-solving abilities
Job Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience managing events and operations in large-scale event settings
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sport/Event Management, Hospitality, Training & Education, or Business Administration or equivalent education and experience
- At least 2 years experience in management with supervisory and decision-making responsibility
- Passion for providing high-quality guest service and prioritizing guest needs
- Creative problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Adaptability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work event nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Knowledge of ADA code and compliance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with large-scale stadium or multi-use facility events is highly desirable
- Experience serving diverse stakeholders and demographics
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Job Duties
- Directs two hundred part-time event staff including ushers, ticket takers, back of house security, and parking employees to enhance guest and client experience
- Develop and implement a comprehensive guest service program
- Meet with client groups to plan and organize assigned meetings and events
- Create AutoCAD floor plans for events
- Consult with exhibit managers, promoters, and athletic representatives concerning physical set-up needs and prepare work orders and cost-estimates
- Keep clients informed about deadline schedules including floor plans, room set-up specifications, and insurance requirements
- Prepare cost estimates and monitor final billing
- Maintain event-related reports, information, and files
- Ensure staff compliance with company policies and procedures
- Guide clients by interpreting contract provisions, policies, and procedures
- Maintain event operations equipment
- Make hospitality arrangements as needed
- Create and distribute detailed information sheets before events
- Prepare and approve payroll for event staff
- Review emergency planning procedures with event staff
- Provide leadership and guidance for event personnel
- Work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Develop collateral materials such as Accessibility Guide, Event Handbook, and Guest Services Documents
- Act as manager on duty as required
- Create work schedules for event staff, medical, police, maintenance, and operations teams
- Recommend and evaluate required event staffing levels
- Investigate and resolve event-related complaints
- Assist in building preparation for events
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
- Perform additional duties as assigned
