Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3-5 years of progressive event management experience
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • knowledge of AutoCAD and Event Booking software preferred
  • strong communication skills
  • experience with crowd control and public safety regulations
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • self-motivated with leadership skills
  • ability to multitask and make decisions under pressure
  • ability to work independently and within a team
  • experience in event production preferred

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of event management experience in stadium, arena, convention center or public assembly facility setting
  • Bachelor’s degree in facility management, marketing, business administration or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • experience with AutoCAD and Event Booking preferred
  • knowledge of crowd management, fire and public safety regulations, food service practices, A/V equipment and relevant regulations
  • strong oral and written communication skills in English
  • production experience in concert setup, audio, video, lighting and rigging preferred
  • self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills
  • ability to make management decisions in high-pressure environments
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • availability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Plan, coordinate and facilitate logistics of events at the Nampa Civic Center
  • Plan, direct and evaluate the work of subordinate staff
  • Provide leadership and guidance for event personnel
  • Develop and control event budgets including pre-show estimates and post-show settlements
  • Develop processes and training materials for the events department
  • Review emergency planning procedures with event staff
  • Recruit, train and supervise event and security staff
  • Ensure execution of event contracts and rental agreements
  • Deliver timely and accurate event information to the finance department
  • Communicate with finance regarding billing and credit card charges
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, staff and public officials
  • Create and distribute detailed event data sheets
  • Assist clients with event logistics and facility use
  • Exercise discretion and independent decision-making during events
  • Obtain necessary event insurance certificates, licenses and permits
  • Communicate event information to departments and staff
  • Troubleshoot event setups and make policy decisions
  • Oversee production, setup, event staff and contract services
  • Oversee Brandt Theater and other assigned events
  • Create risk assessments and financial pro-forma for events
  • Create work schedules and delegate assignments
  • Serve as Manager on Duty when required
  • Report issues to GM or Facility Director
  • Respond to tenant and public complaints
  • Prepare event reports
  • Finalize lessee requirements
  • Interact professionally with facility staff
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Prepare and approve payroll for event staff
  • Coordinate food and beverage services
