Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, business administration or related field preferred
- minimum 3-5 years experience in event or convention services, hospitality, or related industry
- experience in or with convention centers, hotels with meeting or ballroom space, or multi-use venues
- strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- excellent communication skills
- ability to multitask and work under pressure
- customer service experience with conflict resolution
- financial proficiency in forecasting and billing
- familiarity with banquet standards and venue management
- team collaboration skills
- knowledge of union labor environments
- sales minded approach
- bilingual English/Spanish highly desirable
- proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- knowledge of Momentus, AutoCAD, and database tools
- experience with Corrigo or similar systems
- familiarity with Coupa or procurement platforms
- valid certifications preferred including CMP, CSEP, PMP
- OSHA 10 Certification a plus.

- financial proficiency in forecasting, billing reconciliation, and budget tracking
- familiarity with event services and banquet standards, venue management and culinary terminology, and room setup configurations
- collaborative team player who can coordinate across departments and contract partners
- working knowledge of union labor environments
- sales minded with ability to identify upsell opportunities and recommend value-added services
- bilingual (English/Spanish) highly desirable
- proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- knowledgeable in Momentus, AutoCAD, and database management
- experienced with Corrigo or similar maintenance management systems
- familiar with Coupa or compatible procurement platforms
- Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) preferred
- Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP) a plus

Job Duties
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned MBCC and MBCC Campus events
- coordinate and conduct pre-planning site visits with clients and key stakeholders
- facilitate pre-conference meetings and post-event debriefs to communicate event objectives, logistics, and feedback
- lead clients in interpreting and complying with Event License Agreements, venue policies, and event best practices
- provide exceptional service to current and future clients by understanding needs, anticipating challenges, and proactively resolving issues
- support MBCC and GMCVB sales teams with site inspections and ensure seamless turnover
- proactively identify upsell opportunities to elevate the event experience and generate revenue
- collaborate with Food & Beverage provider and review banquet event order summaries
- maintain a visible presence throughout all event phases to ensure high-touch service and timely issue resolution
- oversee the full client experience lifecycle
- apply hospitality-driven planning principles and service standards
- prepare and distribute event documentation
- oversee coordination of all venue services and contract partners
- maintain strong onsite presence to ensure smooth communications, event execution, safety compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction
- conduct pre, during, and post-event walkthroughs
- proactively identify and resolve operational challenges
- leverage Momentus for event planning and communication
- utilize Corrigo for preventive maintenance and work order requests
- collaborate with Technical Operations Manager to estimate labor costs
- prepare and distribute daily event reports
- utilize Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and AutoCAD for planning and reporting
- engage with data for analysis and decision-making
- manage Momentus/NetSuite for event work orders
- generate and collect event estimates
- ensure billing accuracy and timely submission to Finance Department
- inform clients of changes in charges
- support revenue forecasting
- ensure compliance with procurement and financial policies
- deliver white-glove service to clients, exhibitors, and attendees
- respond to client issues promptly
- collaborate with Public Safety and first responders on emergency preparedness
- maintain understanding of culinary offerings
- champion sustainability initiatives
- ensure completion of post-event debriefs
- lead internal and external meetings
- support mentorship of Event Coordinator
- perform other event-related responsibilities as assigned.
